A global food manufacturer client was interested in launching a new line of premium pasta sauces. Before going to market, they needed to explore market potential and gather SKU-level feedback around the potential launch—and all on an accelerated timeline to beat the competition to market.

An exclusive community of cuisine enthusiasts was recruited to help design the next best premium pasta sauce. Instead of taking 12-16 months from idea to launch, this community engaged in a ‘start to finish’ co-creation process, covering all aspects of the product development process such as positioning, naming, reasons-to-believe, package structure & graphics, taste profiles and more over six months.

As a result of the research, the client pursued a co-branded licensing venture with a major restaurant chain. The results validated the consumer need and resulting product positioning, flavor profile and package structure.
